Found Another...

If you can’t tell, I’ve been tidying my computer desktop today. I found another layout that seems to have escaped blogging. :) This was taken in Luzern, Switzerland. What a fabulous statue! It’s a tribute to the Swiss guards that were killed and executed during the French Revolution.

Updating My Gallery

Apparently, I’ve managed to forget to post a few layouts here, so I’m doing it now. :)

I’m also going to add some quick links to my gallery albums at the bottom of the side bar for ease of use…. for me if no one else.

Oh, and by the way—happy national scrapbooking day! I’m not sure if national extends to England, but I’m game. ;)

Around the Block

I had the chance to work with some of the Around the Block line, and I just wanted to share my stuff. These papers were so cool, and they were like modern works of art in themselves. I was half tempted just to put the full sheet of cardstock in the page protector and call it done. ;) They have so many different lines, I was amazed at all the different stuff to DT came out with!

In my spare time, I did an extra layout. It doesn’t have all that much Around the Block stuff on it, so I didn’t want to use it as a sponsor layout, but I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

For my sponsor layouts, I was absolutely chuffed when I was able to scrap a photo of Copenhagen Airport from two years ago. I remember loving the photo when I took it, and it’s been waiting for the right paper ever since. And I think this paper work out so well for my Copenhagen Airport layout

My second layout, Summer Flowers, were from photos I took last summer. I couldn’t believe how perfect the paper was!!

And finally, my Winter Days layout. I took these photos a year ago in Jesmond Dene. We don’t get much snow, so you’ve got to take the opportunity when it presents itself. ;)

Treasures by WorldWin Papers

The design team at Scrap That Moment got a chance to play with some of the new WorldWin Treasures Cardstock which are a wonderful texture cardstock that isn’t too bumpy and is mat. i love it because it’s fabulous for cutting, stamping and painting…. some of my favourite things. :)

I fell in love with Malena’s Kolla! layout and knew immediately that I wanted to scraplift it…. so guess what I was doing last night!? Here’s my version:

I did two actual sponsor layouts as well, although I’m no longer allowed to post the images here, so I’ll link them instead. ;)

Vindolanda Beauty is a simple layout from I took at the Vindolanda roman site. This staute was in the gardens by the museum, and I love how the photo turned out.

1000 Island Cruise is probably my favourite. I love how this layout turned out, and I’m impressed I actually used the hibiscus on a layout about Canada! In case you missed it, I feature the Hibiscus on Sheepspace in February… just follow this link to download it for yourself. ;)

A couple layouts for today.

The first is a layout is did for a white space challenge, which wasn’t exactly a stretch for me, but was fun anyway!! The second is a layout of the Mundi Tree in Hereford.

Just thought I’d share. :)

Excel Hobby Blade

Our second sponsor at Scrap That Moment was excel hobby blade, who provided us with cushioned grip scalpels as well as a cutting mat. Love the cush-grip thing.

Here’s my layout:

If you want to check out what the other girls did, take a peek in the Excel Sponsor Gallery.

Michael Miller Memories

I got the chance to work with these fabrics, as they were one of our sponsors on Scrap That Moment. Michael Miller Memories’ fabrics have some great designs good appeal, although I must admit I wish I would have received the pink stripe job, as I love stripes. I’ll have to hunt that one down on my own.

The fabrics are pretty versatile, and can be treated like paper, with the bonus that they can be frayed, or can be heated or you can wet them to reduce the amount of size on them so they work more like real fabric.

Here are the projects I did:

New Digital Papers by Heidi Jones

A couple layouts using the new digital papers created by Heidi Jones for Scrappy Chick magazine. They are a free gift with the March issue, and the designers got to play with them before the issue launch. :)

For these layouts I had the papers printed out and then scrapped them in the traditional paper and scissors way. Lots of the other girls did digital layouts, and if you want to have a peek, then check out the Scrappy Chick Sponsor Gallery

The first layout uses papers from the Glorious Green set, while the second layout features papers from the Spring set.

New Chatterbox Stuff.

Had so much fun playing with the new Chatterbox papers for my SSS DT assignments. I thought I’d share them here too!

If anybody is interested, we are having an online crop at Shauna’s Shabby Shoppe this weekend. There’s also a Survivor contest going on, so definitely check that out on the message boards cause it’s worth $200 cash!

Lots of Creativity

There’s lots of creative juices flowing in this house at the moment. I’m having a hard time getting the ideas out on paper before the next set comes flooding in. I just wish I could produce my ideas as fast as I could get them.

As a result there’s a lot of playing and not a lot of writing going on at the moment. However, in periods were I’m waiting for glue and paint to dry, I’ve been nosing around the internet. I’ve added a few more links to the side bars.

I’ve got to get back to playing before my brain explodes. However, I’ll leave you with this layout that I did for the January Contest at Shauna’s Shoppe
